A workshop in which string formed the basic component in a collaborative activity. Prior to the workshop, a 7-meter wooden frame had been fixed to desks in the center of the room, and numerous small pins had been fastened to it. Starting with long lines that stretched the length of the whole frame, the participants began to freely plot lines of thread. The size of the area in which participants could work gradually became smaller, and towards the end they were encouraged to find spaces within the larger image, creating ever smaller linear networks.
