A video collaboration realized together with children of Momoshi Elementary School taking as its inspiration the commemorative photos found in many schools in Japan that mark their foundation. In these photos, teachers and students routinely gather in the school grounds for an earial photo, standing in a formation resembling the name of the school or its emblem. In this project, participants were given free reign to draw with chalk markers, tools usually reserved for marking out athletics tracks. Later, they were also invited to participate in the creation of a soundtrack together with composer Satoshi Ikeda. In giving students the freedom to explore unconventional drawing tools in the wide space of the school grounds, the project hoped to inspire new forms of creativity as Momoi Elementary School approached its eightieth anniversary in 2012.
