A videowork inspired by Houzanji Temple and neighbouring Houzanji Kindergarten, a place situated in beautiful natural surroundings on the outskirts of Ishinomaki (Miyagi Prefecture) where several hundred Ishinomaki residents had sought shelter following the events of 3.11. Realized as part of the Ishinomaki Drawing Project, a collaboration with media artist Junichi Kanebako, it involved students of Houzanji Kindergarten and Atelier Copain (an innovative art school based in Ishinomaki for over 40 years) in a work that speaks of ephemerality and the fierce underlying forces of nature that form an undercurrent in the Japanese psyche.
